CONFERENCE AGAINST TERRORISM AT GUB
“Raise your voice against terrorism” being spired by the slogan as well as with a view to raising awareness against terrorism The German University Bangladesh (GUB) has organized a social program on 3rd September 2016 in the university campus which also appreciates the instruction of the education ministry of Bangladesh. The trustee board Chairman and acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Ing. Saifullah Khandkar presided over the meeting. The discussion session was started with the vote of thanks by the host as well as the valuable inauguration speech by Md. Abdul Kalam Azad, the Registrar of the university. In addition, renowned professors of the university as well as invited guests namely Mr. Sujait Hossain (SI), Md. Atiqur Rahman (immam), Mukul Kumar Mollik, Dr.Shajahan were present in the discussion program.
Active participation of the students, faculty members, employees as well as the invited guests made the event fruitful. The speakers of the event focused on the humanity, ethics & morality, social awareness, raising consciousness on using internet and social media, as well as deep criticism against recent terrorist attacks particularly at Holy Artisan Bakery and Sholakia. Everyone pinpointed the core message of brotherhood, going beyond the racial, social, political, religious as well as geological boundaries. From the speech of the participants, it was transparent that the terrorists have no country, no religion.
Eventually, the event was wrapped up with the vote of thanks to the honorable guests as well as eminent professors for delivering their invaluable speech against the terrorism. Finally, the program was declared to be ended by wishing new hope of peaceful, prosperous, as well as progressive Bangladesh.
